Fin de semana de éxito para el equipo español de Gimnasia Rítmica

El equipo español de gimnasia rítmica ha hecho historia nuevamente en la Copa del Mundo disputada en Lisboa este fin de semana pasado.

El Conjunto se alza con la medalla de oro en el Concurso General

Todos los seguidores de este deporte esperaban con gran expectación la primera competición del año para el conjunto español. Nuestras gimnastas, no habían competir anteriormente debido a lesiones por partes diferentes miembros del equipo y, por tanto, no se pudo acudir a las citas anteriores en Francia (Grand Prix Thiais) y Alemania (Copa del Mundo Stuttgart).

El equipo técnico, formado por Anna Baranova y Sara Bayón, decidió mantener la rutina de 10 mazas con pequeñas modificaciones, con el cual España se proclamó campeona del mundo y cambiar completamente el ejercicio mixto.

El conjunto repite de nuevo el oro, de manera holgada

Y el nuevo cambio no defraudó en absoluto. Se trata de una composición llena de riesgo y una minuciosa coreografía, acompañada de una música actual a la par que clásica.

Pese a la elevada dificultad del ejercicio las españolas consiguieron una puntuación total de 17,200 puntos en el concurso general en el mixto y 17.400 con 10 mazas. El conjunto repite de nuevo la primera posición, de manera holgada, al igual que el año pasado en esta misma etapa de la Copa del Mundo.

En las finales debido a diversos fallos, las españolas no pudieron alzarse con la primera posición, pero aún así obtuvieron dos medallas de plata, una por cada ejercicio.

Asimismo la gimnasta de categoría individual Carolina Rodríguez obtuvo una cuarta posición en el concurso general y medalla de bronce en la final de mazas todo un hito para la historia de la gimnasia rítmica de los últimos años.

Carolina es una de las gimnastas con más expresividad en el panorama actual internacional de la gimnasia rítmica, muy valorado en el nuevo código de puntuación

Las próximas competiciones previas al campeonato de Europa para Carolina serán: torneo internacional Amsterdam Masters y Copa del mundo de Minsk (Bielorrusia).

Buenas posiciones para las gimnastas junior y promesas senior

Andrea Pozo y Sara Llana, promesas del equipo senior de gimnasia rítmica español, también acudieron a la cita de Lisboa tanto para la Copa del Mundo (Andrea) como para el Torneo Internacional (Sara) disputado paralelamente. Buenas sensaciones para ellas dos y probablemente un buen futuro para Ritmica española.

Paula Gómez, gimnasta Junior, obtuvo una octava posición en la final de aro y Carmen Martínez quinta en la final de mazas. Miriam Guerra es otra de las gimnastas que estuvo presente en Lisboa y clave para el equipo junior.

Al mismo tiempo, se celebraba en Riga (Letonia), un torneo internacional en donde estaban presentes gimnastas de gran nivel de diferentes países. Polina obtuvo el 13º puesto en la competición general y el premio “Miss Elegancia”

Liubov Cherkashina talks about Spanish Group

Former Belarusian gymnasts, Liubov Cherkashina, who won a bronze medal in London Olympic Games 2012 talks about Spanish group. Nowadays, Liubov works as a coach for team Belarus, helping head coach Irina Leparskaya. In adition, Liubov was elected as an Athlete Representative for the F.I.G.

“What happens is not the fault of Russia or Belarus or Ukraine. In Spain, for example, there are a large number of clubs. In Belarus, we’re more centralised when it comes to elite sports, whereas in Spain they see Rhythmic more as sport for the masses. We can’t say that one is better than the other, but in Belarus most of the time, the financing that we receive is state financing. No results, no more financing, and no more gymnastics. That’s why the coaches are focused on giving it their all for conserving the elite level in our countries”

In Belarus, we’re more centralised when it comes to elite sports, whereas in Spain they see Rhythmic more as sport for the masses.

“That’s not the case in countries like Italy or Spain. People pay there, but me, I never paid anything to do gymnastics. However, I can say that the Spanish system, and the countries that have similar systems, they will bear fruit. With so many clubs, there will inevitably be a gymnast who breaks through.”

La ex gimnasta bielorrusa Liubov Cherkasina, la cual ganó la medalla de bronce en las Olimpiadas de Londres 2012 habla sobre conjunto español de gimnasia rítmica. Actualmente Liubov trabaja como entrenadora, ayudando a Irina Leparskaya, seleccionadora nacional. También ha sido elegida como una de las “representantes de los atletas” por la FIG.

“El conjunto español, el cual se convirtió en campeón del mundo el año pasado, es entrenado por una técnico bielorrusa. La situación actual en la gimnasia rítmica no es culpa de Rusia, Bielorrusia ni Ucrania. En España por ejemplo existen muchos clubes de gimnasia. En Bielorrusia sin embargo, los deportistas de élite están más centralizados y se consideran importantes. Pues contrario en España la gimnasia rítmica es considerada como un deporte para masas, para el disfrute del público.”

“No podemos decir que una cosa sea mejor que la otra, pero en Bielorrusia la mayoría de las veces la financiación proviene gracias al Estado. Si no se tienen resultados, no existiría una financiación y por lo tanto no se podría hacer gimnasia.

Ésto por ejemplo, no es lo que ocurre en países como Italia o España. En estos países las gimnastas pagan por hacer gimnasia rítmica pero mi caso, nunca he pagado por hacer gimnasia. A pesar de ello, puedo decir que el sistema español, así como otros países que tienen un sistema similar, tendrán un buen futuro, ya que con tantas gimnastas, es inevitable que alguna despunte.”

Simona Peycheva stops doing Rhythmic gymnastics

Bulgarian gymnast, Simona Peycheva announced that stops doing RG. Last year, Simona decided to practice RG in a high level, five years after of her retirement and despite of having a baby.


“Some things were not said to me, so I can’t keep silent. Last year I said i was back to sport. As you all know I wasn’t selected to join the National Team. It was really hard for me, because I did a lot of work for staying fit and in shape after 5 years. Most of the people, including the Federation was pessimistic and didn’t believe that I could succeed”

“You can still do a lot of elements, but this is less that what we expected” – they said to Simona.

I wonder if our Federation could respect the athlethes in this country who have done an awful lot.

“I’ll be back in shape, and after a year suddenly I was a lot more fit. I wonder if our Federation could respect the athlethes in this country who have done an awful lot. Just think about how many of them left the sport because of the Federation and the fact that they were not respectful to them.

If you respect the athletes who retired , at least give them a chance. I wanted to win my place in the team, but I wanted a fair game that I did not get. I could convince myself that I was not sufficiently competitive on these girls who are currently on the worldwide. I did not want to take their chance. But I felt that at least I deserved a chance.

They said to me that I could compete in the “Republican Elite level”. But, do you think that the name of Simona Peycheva will return to gymnastics competing in a National Championship, where everything was clear before the race? I can not say that I am not offended.

The only thing I know is that I did not do anything wrong. I worked hard and the only thing I knew is that I’m a thorn in someone from the Federation. I don’t pretend to be the best.  I just wanted to do RG again and I proved that I can.”

Irina Viner-Usmanova Interview for HELLO! Magazine

Irina Viner-Usmanova, president of Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation in Russia and first coach of Russian National team gave an interview for HELLO! Magazine. In this interview she talked about her gymnasts, her work and her personal life.

“I am used to travel a lot.  That’s why I really appreciate my home. The feeling of  “this is my bed, this is my pillow, taking a bath”. And also, that I really miss my mom when I am traveling ”

Masterclass/ Training Sessions with RG Russian Stars

From 9th to 17th of January, Russian international Master of Sports former gymnast will  attend 8 days of training sessions as coaches.

World and European Champion Daria Kondakova along with Aliya Garayeva are some of  RG stars that will be at this event in honor of Yulia Barsukova, Olympic Champion in 2000.

Durango (Spain) International Gala

Every year, Euskalgym Gala of Gymnastics is divided in two stages: the first one is held in Bilbao and the second one in Durango. The best gymnasts of the world are coming to this event.

But this year, the second stage could not be celebrated so that the Basque Country Gymnastics Federation wanted to invite three international gymnasts to perform in a gala.

This gala will be held on Saturday, 21st of December.

These gymnasts, that have never been at Euskalgym gala before are: Anastasiya Kisse from Bulgaria, Kseniya Moustafayeva from France and Alexandra Soldatova from Russia.

In adition, some top gymnasts from Spain are also invited. This gala will be held on Saturday, 21st of December.

Cada año la federación vasca de gimnasia, organiza uno de los eventos más esperados en el mundo de la gimnasia rítmica: Euskalgym. Cada año esta gala consta de dos etapas. La primera de ellas se celebraba en Bilbao contando con la participación de las mejores gimnastas del momento. La segunda etapa se realiza en una localidad cercana a Bilbao, Durango. En ella paralelamente se realiza una competición nacional de conjuntos pero al final de ella las gimnastas internacionales a su vez realizaban una exhibición.

Las gimnastas internacionales confirmadas son: Alexandra Soldatova, Anastasiya Kisse y Kseniya Moustafayeva.

Por diversos motivos, este año no se ha podido llevar a cabo la gala Euskalgym en Durango. Por ello desde la federación vasca de Gimnasia ha propuesto realizar una gala navideña de Gimnasia invitando a su vez gimnastas que no habían participado anteriormente en el Euskalgym. El evento será el Sábado 21 de Diciembre a partir de las 12 del mediodía en el polideportivo de Landako.

Las gimnastas internacionales confirmadas son: Alexandra Soldatova, Anastasiya Kisse y Kseniya Moustafayeva. Asímismo, se contará con la participación de gimnastas de España.
Anastasiya Kisse es una gimnasta búlgara que ha cosechado grandes éxitos ya desde categoría Junior y que además entrena en el Centro de alto rendimiento de Novogorsk junto con la selección de Rusia.
Alexandra Soldatova, de Rusia es un atleta con gran proyección mundial y campeona de Europa en categoría Junior.
Kseniya Moustafayeva es la actual campeona de Francia y obtuvo la medalla de bronce en los pasados Juegos Mediterráneos celebrados este verano en Mersin, Turquía.

“My name is Yana Kudryavtseva. I am 16 – the youngest ever World Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics. I was born in Moscow, in Russia. I got into Rhythmic gymnastics when I was 4 years old. My father – he was an Olympic Champion in swimming. He knew my coach and she suggested I look into gymnastics.

At first he was reluctant as he knew how hard it would be, but eventually he let me do the training to improve my flexibility, body posture and body shape.

As it turn out, Rhythmic Gymnastics is become my entire life.

I perform with ball, ribbon, clubs and hoop. Rhythmic gymnastics is a beautiful, femenine sport . Each apparatus is difficult to master , so you have to train hard no matter how tired you are. Until I have perfected everything my coach tells me to do I am not allowed to leave the gym.

I train 5 to 6 hours a day. One of my nicknames is “Crystal Statuette” im most famous for spinning the ball on my finger.

When you are on the victory podium you are a queen, but when you come down from it you are nobody, you cannot be proud of yourself.

“Mi nombre es Yana Kudryavtseva. Tengo 16 años, y soy la campeona más jóven del mundo de gimnasia rítmica. Nací en Moscú, Rusia. Comencé a practicar Gimnasia Ritmica cuando tenía cuatro años de edad. Mi padre fue un campeón olímpico de natación. Él conocía a mi entrenadora y ella le sugirió que empezara a practicar gimnasia.

Compito con pelota, cinta, mazas y aro. La Gimnasia Ritmica es un deporte muy bonito y femenino. Es muy difícil de llegar a manejar con maestría cada aparato, por ello hay que entrenar muy duro, no importa lo cansada que llegues a estar. Hasta que no haya completado y perfeccionado todo lo que diga mi entrenadora, no me es permitido abandonar el gimnasio. Entreno de cinco a seis horas al día. Uno de mis apodos es “la estatua de cristal”. Mi elemento más famoso es hacer girar la pelota sobre un dedo.

Cuando estás en el pódium te sientes una reina, pero cuando no lo consigues y bajas de la posición de pódium, no te sientes nada, no puedes estar orgullosa de ti misma.

Pero cuando actúo y compito siento algo muy especial, algo que el público nunca podría sentir, me siento muy satisfecha”

Who is going to retire from gymnastics this year?

After World Championships that were held in Kiev, a few gymnasts decide to stop doing gymnastics.

Alina Maksymenko, from Ukraine, decided to become a coach. “After World Championships, I will help in Deriugina school as a coach” – said Alina.

“I will continue training, in fact I will compete until the end of the year.  After this, I am not very sure yet, but probably I may only compete in national competitions. I would also like to help little gymnasts to become rhythmic gymnastics stars”.

Since 2003, Silviya competed for Bulgaria (World Championships Budapest 2003). She won bronze medal in Ribbon (Mie WC 2009, Montpellier WC 2011 and EC Vienna 2013).

Irina Deleanu is suspended until 2015

Irina Deleanu, international judge from Romania is once again suspended from activity until the end of year 2015. From 2012, FIG opened proceedings against Irina Deleanu.

Irina Deleanu, international judge from Romania is once again suspended from activity until the end of year 2015.

This year, she could judge (even at European Championships). But FIG reopened the case. Firstly, FIG Tribunal remarked a suspension through the end of 2016. Today, FIG Tribunal decided to reduce the sentence until end of 2015.

La juez internacional de Rumanía, Irina Deleanu, vuelve a estar en el punto de mira. En el año 2012 la FIG decidió abrir una investigación y por lo tanto juzgar a Irina, suspendiéndola de su actividad.

Sin embargo, este año, Irina pudo llevar a cabo su trabajo, llegando incluso a puntuar en el Campeonato de Europa. A pesar de ello, el Tribunal ha vuelvo a reabrir el caso y sancionar a Irina hasta finales del 2016. Hoy, se ha decidido finalmente acortar la sentencia hasta finales del 2015.
