Gymnast of the week: Darya Svatkovskaya
Darya Svatkovskaya is the brand new Russian Champion. Since she was a junior gymnast, her career is really successful. But she made her breakthrough this year, since Moscow Grand Prix 2013.
Her best apparatus is the hoop. She won gold medal with this apparatus at the European Championships this year in Vienna and also was her best score at Russian Championships.
This year, Dasha is turning 17 years old in December as a double European Champion: Junior (Minsk 2011) and Senior (Vienna 2013).
Darya is Oksana Skaldina’s daughter (bronze at Olympic Games 1992) and Dmitriy Svatkovsky (silver at Olympic Games 1992).

Last weekend, Dasha became Russian All-Around Champion, before her team mates Elizaveta Nazarenkova who was 2nd and Anna Trubnikova who was 3rd.

Silviya Miteva
Legendary Bulgarian gymnast, Silviya Miteva announces her retirement at the age of 27 years old.
Berlin Grand Prix was her last official competition, where she got gold in ribbon routine and bronze medal in All-around. After her amazing performance, she suddenly started crying and kissed her apparatus.

Silviya is coached by her mother, Silviya Divcheva-Miteva, European and World Champion in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
She became an international gymnast in 2003 (Budapest World Championships 2003), but her best results are from 2009 to 2013. Silviya is the oldest gymnast in the History of Rhythmic gymnastics that won a medal at European Championships (27 years old) and at World Championships (25 years old)
