Interview to Anna Baranova, Spanish National team Coach

Anna Baranova was born in Belarus and has a long career as an international coach. Nowadays she is living in Madrid, Spain, working as National Team coach.

“Spanish group could be one of the top groups this season. My goal is this team become a champion. But since the begging I had to find out how is the personality of my gymnasts, their personality.”

“This team is very popular, especially in Spain. When there is a national competition, there’s nobody who wouldn’t like to see their performances. That’s very important in this sport. The audience rely on us.”

Interview to Ukrainian coach, Ireesha.

Ireesha Blohina is one of the most popular coaches nowadays in Rhythmic Gymnastics. She has a really close friendship with Anna Rizatdinova.

Ireesha is a singer, actress and choreographer. “Lovesong” by Alina Maksymenko, “Summertime Sadness” by Anna Rizatdinova and many other amazing galas by team Ukraine are choreographer by Ireesha.

Baku European Championships are coming up!

Thirty-three countries have submitted their definitive entries for participation in the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships to be organized in Baku on June 13-15.

Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the host, Azerbaijan.

According to the results of the European Championships in Vienna-2013, the 20 best gymnasts will define the continent’s All Around Champion.

First Day (June 13th)

– Opening ceremony will take place and the European Champion to be defined according to the results of two performances among the group teams.

Second Day (June 14th)

– Juniors will announce the European Champion in a team competition having performed with clubs and a ribbon, and, all-around final to be held among senior gymnasts as well.

Last day (June 15th)

– Apparatus finals, among juniors and group teams will take place to be followed by the Championships’ closing ceremony and Gala with participation of stars of European gymnastics.

MTM Ljublana International Tournament 2014 Results

Katsiaryna Halkina from Belarus is the winner of Saturday’s all-around at the 27th international tournament MTM Narodni Dom. On Sunday, she also won another three victories: hoop, ball and clubs.

Second position went for Kseniya Moustafayeva (France) and third, for Salome Phajava from Georgia. Salome is known for an original ribbon routine inspired in Michael Jackson.

Information about Amsterdam Masters 2014

AmsterdaMMasters 2014 is an international rhythmic gymnastics tournament at will be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

This tournament consist of:

– Junior individual competition
– Senior individual competition
– Senior grouos competition

The event AmsterdaMMasters has shown that our beautiful sport can reach a large audience and is also responsible for Dutch rhythmic gymnastics being back on the international calendar. It will be celebrated on 9th and 10th of May, a few weeks before European Championships.

Rhythmic Gymnastics Training Center “ISCA” is located in Russia. Its purpose is to promote Rhythmic Gymnastics. A hundred of gymnasts are currently training here. Olympic Champions used to train over here such as Anastasiya Nazarenko or Karolina Sevastyanova.

Daria Dmitrieva or Yana Lukonina (Honored Master of Sports, World Champions), are also working here as coaches. Also Anna Viktorovna Zhitkova is helping as a ballet coach.

Gymnast of the week: Lidia Redondo/ Loreto Achaerandio

Spanish group gymnasts, Loreto Achaerandio and Lidia Redondo stopped doing Rhythmic Gymnastics. Lidia and Loreto joined National team 10 years ago, since they were juniors.

Loreto suffered from an injury since 2012 and after Olympic games in London, where she placed 4th with the team, had a foot surgery. In 2013 she was in the team but she didn’t competed. Right now, Loreto is studying Medicine in Madrid.

Lidia, who turned 22 years old this month, also place 4th at 2012 London Olympic Games. In 2013 she won gold medal at World Cup Lisbon. But Lidia started getting medals since she was 11 years old in Spanish Tournaments.
In 2013, just before summer, Lidia suffered from an injury and could’t compete at Kiev World Championships where Spain ranked first with 10 clubs.
Nowadays, Lidia is studying Phisical Education (INEF) in Madrid.
