About Baltic Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior Cup 2013
This weekend, a junior international competition will be celebrated in Gdynia, Poland. It is the second year that Polish Club “SGA Gdynia” organizes a event like this. This competition will be held on the 24th and 25th of March at the Complex of Sports-Schools in Gdynia. Individual and groups will compete here. The categories are junior and pre-junior (born in 2001 or after).

Este fin de semana se celebra en Gdynia, Polonia, un torneo Internacional de Gimnasia Rítmica. El club “SGA Gdynia” es el encargado de organizar esta competición. Consta de dos días: 23 (sábado) y 24 (domingo), en donde gimnastas junior individuales y grupos participarán. Happy Birthday Diana Borisova!
Diana is a russian gymnast who was really succesful at junior category. She was European Champion (with team Russia) in Nizhny-Novogorod European Championships. Her team mates were Yana Kudryavtseva (ball), Yulia Sinitsina (clubs) and Alexandra Soldatova (ribbon). Nowadays she’s still training at Novogorsk. Her coach is Vera Shatalina. Diana also was competing with the Russian National Team in a few russian competitions.

Diana es una gimnasta rusa la cual tuvo una carrera muy exitosa en categoría junior. Participó en el Campeonato de Europa de Nizhny-Novgorod del año 2012, resultando campeona de Europa junto con sus compañeras Yana Kudryavtseva, Yulia Sinitsina y Alexandra Soldatova. Actualmente entrena en el centro de alto rendimiento ruso al mando de Irina Viner y entrenada por Vera Shatalina. Diana también formó parte del conjunto nacional ruso en algunas competiciones estatales.

New Spanish Team (Group)
Two new members are now included in the National Senior Spanish Group. The first one is Marina Fernández. Marina competed as individual gymnast for Spain years ago. Her coach was Iratxe Aurrekoetxea (former coach of Almudena Cid).

M. Fernández was training in C.A.R. Sant Cugat (Barcelona) with Natalia García and Julia Usón. But afterwards, she moved to Madrid in order to train with the group. Once in Madrid, she joined the 2nd group. From this year, she will be in the 1st group with Alejandra Quereda, Sandra Aguilar, Lourdes Mohedano and Lidia Redondo, who were also in London 2012 Olympic Games.

Following competitions for Spanish Team: Grand Prix Thiais (France), World Cup Lisbon (Portugal).
El primer conjunto nacional español cuenta con dos nuevos miembros: Marina Fernández y Artemi Gavezou Castro. Marina compitió anteriormente representando a España en categoría individual.

Su entrenadora era Iratxe Aurrekoetxea (la cual fue también entrenadora de Almudena Cid). M. Fernández entrenaba en el C.A.R de Sant Cugat (Barcelona), junto con Natalia Garcia y Julia Usón, entre otras. Posteriormente, Marina se trasladó a Madrid para entrenar con el conjunto suplente. Ahora formará parte del primer conjunto, con Lidia Redondo, Alejandra Quereda, Sandra Aguilar y Lourdes Mohedano (las cuales también estuvieron en el Londres 2012). Por otra parte Artemi, anteriormente compitió por Grecia como gimnasta individual.
Deseamos al conjunto español mucha suerte para esta nueva temporada.

Corbeil-Essonnes World Cup is a F.I.G. category competition that is celebrated in Corbeil, near Paris (France). It is an individual competition (senior), but a few groups also are coming to perform exhibitions.
When will it be?
It will be from Friday, 10th of March to Sunday 12th of May.
Where can I buy tickets?
Before May 3rd, you should send a letter to “Comité d’Organisation Local” (111 rue Féray 91100 Corbeil-Essonnes) with a formulary of reservation. Tickets are from 14 Euros. Tickets for whole competition cost 70 €. Finals cost 28 €.

Grand Prix Holon 2013
Holon (Israel) is the place where second Grand Prix of the year takes part. It consists of two days of competitions: Friday and Saturday. Junior individuals, pre-juniors individuals, senior individuals and junior groups participate here.
This competition is very friendly. On Sunday, all delegations are invited to a guided tour of the city of Jerusalem.

Russian gymnast Margarita Mamun was the star of this competition. She was the only gymnast who got more than 18 points (18,067 points in hoop, 18,000 points in ball). The second best score went to Silviya Miteva, who showed fantastic artistic skills. Third position was for the local girl, Victoria Filanovsky.

Junior Competition
Just five groups came to this competition. Most succesfull team was Team Russia who had the best scores in both rotations. Their total score was 29,950 followed by Belarus (28,350) and Israel (27,800) (in spite of having a 4th score in 1st rotation).
For junior individuals the victory was for Yulia Bravikova (60,800). Second was for belarusian Hanna Bazhko (58,950) and third for Zhala Piriyeva (AZE) (55,300).
In pre-junior competition, many girls participated from different clubs of Israel. Others, compited in category “out of competition”. The winner was another russian gymnast, Karina Kuznetsova.

Senior Competition (out of Grand Prix)
Yana Kudryavtseva from Russia got the 1st place, 2 points ahead of the second position (Katsiaryna Halkina) from Belarus. Third was for Viktoriya Mazur( UKR).
Holon (Israel) es la ciudad donde se celebra el segundo Grand Prix del año. Esta competición se desarrolla durante dos días (viernes y sábado). Es un torneo para gimnastas senior, junior y pre junior, además de conjuntos junior.
Competición Grand Prix
La gimnasta rusa Margarita Mamun fue la estrella de esta competición. Ella fue la única gimnasta la cual alcanzó más de 18 puntos (18.067 en aro, 18.000 puntos en pelota). La segunda mejor nota fue para Silviya Miteva de Bulgaria, la cual mostró excelentes habilidades artísticas. La anfitriona, Victoria Filanovsky, obtuvo la tercera mejor puntuación.
Competición Junior
Sólo cinco conjuntos participaron. El mejor resultó ser el conjunto de Rusia, el cual obtuvo las mejores notas en ambas rotaciones. Su puntuación total fue de 29.950 seguido de Bielorrusia (28.350) e Israel (27.800), a pesar de obtener una cuarta nota en la primera rotación.
En la competición junior individual la victoria fue para Yulia Bravikova con 60,800 puntos en total. La plata fue para Hanna Bazhko (58.950) de Bielorrusia, seguida de Zhala Piriyeva (AZE) con 55.300.
Sólo cinco conjuntos participaron. El mejor resultó ser el conjunto de Rusia, el cual obtuvo las mejores notas en ambas rotaciones.
Diferentes gimnastas de diversos clubes de Israel participaron en la competición pre-junior (muchas de ellas en categoría “fuera de competición” (las jueces les otorgan notas pero no puntúan para clasificación). La ganadora de esta categoría fue Karina Kuznetsova de Rusia.

Yana Kudryavtseva de Rusia obtuvo el oro, con dos puntos de ventaja sobre su rival bielorrusa, Katsiaryna Galkina y la ucraniana Viktoriya Mazur.

Schmiden International is a Tournament that takes part in Germany every year, this time with junior and senior individual competition.
Fourteen senior gymnasts competed in this tournament. German Jana Berëzko was the all around winner and also she took gold in three of four finals: hoop, ball and clubs. The second gymnast of Team Germany, Laura Jung is injured.
Jouki Tikkanen, from Finland was one of the favorites after German Team. She took second place in all-around competition, followed by Jasmin Kerber from U.S.A.
German Jana Berëzko was the all around winner and also she took gold in three of four finals: hoop, ball and clubs.
Although she ranked 2nd and 3rd in ball and clubs exercise, Anastasiya Mulmina (from Ukraine), took 4th place in all-around competition. This is her first year as senior gymnast.

El Torneo Internacional Schmiden se celebra en Alemania cada año, con dos días de competición: primer día de concurso general junior y senior y segundo día de finales por aparatos.
Catorce gimnastas de categoría senior han participado en esta competición. La gimnasta olímpica alemana Jana Berëzko fue la indiscutible ganadora de este torneo. En las finales se llevó 3 oros: pelota, mazas y aro. La segunda gimnasta del equipo alemán, Laura Jung, está lesionada.
En la competición junior, Laura Zeng de Estados Unidos resultó ganadora con una puntuación de 56.867 puntos, seguida de Gabriela Khvedelidze (GEO) (56,566) y Jana Martin (GER) (51,901).
