International Junior Tournament Guadalajara 2016: Finals

International Junior Tournament of Guadalajara concludes today with EF Finals. Belarus gold yesterday, followed by Russia and Ukraine. One of the favorites, Mariya Sergeeva from Russia scored 16,150, while an error during her hoop routine got her in second position, just behind an amazing Khrystina Pohranychna from Ukraine.

Another audience’s favorite, Olena Dyachenko, who reminds Anastasiya Mulmina’s line got a low ball score due to an error (ball out of the carpet).

Spanish gymnasts, Sofía Zanón, María Año and Alicia Fernández perform regular and solid routines.

Team Belarus, who is another of the favorites with Alina Harnasko who won two finals out of three.

Sumire Kita is the new rising star from Japanese Junior team, getting bronze medal in clubs final just behind Alina Harnasko and Mariya Sergeeva.

World Cup Guadalajara 2016: Schedule

The biggest Rhythmic Gymnastics event this year in Spain, World Cup and International Junior Tournament begins today! Countries from all around the world are competing this weekend in Spain.

As it was confirmed in this media, (Twitter: Rhythmic_info) World and European Champion, Yana Kudryavtseva is not in Spain this weekend, looking for European Championships. Same happened to her team mates, senior Group from Russia, who was already confirmed a few weeks ago but it is not either traveling to Guadalajara.

Team Israel (Neta Rivkin, Victoria Filanovsky and the Senior Group) also withdraw from competition last week.

Miss Valentine Rhythmic and AGG Tournament begins today with UKR individuals leading the competition. Anna Rizatdinova, who is the favorite for gold medal, performed her new hoop routine with a top score of 18.500, the highest one for the moment.

Her teammate, Viktoriya Mazur is second for the moment and third, Aliya Protto from USA. Here are the provisional standings, after one day of competition:

Euskalgym 10 Rhythmic Gymnastics Gala

Vitoria (Northern Spain) hosts for the second time the most important Rhythmic Gymnastics event in Spain. Top gymnasts from all over the World will perform their best shows this weekend. This year Euskalgym celebrates its 10th anniversary.

How can I go to Vitoria?

  • From Bilbao airport, there is a special transportation by bus:

This event will take place in Fernando Buesa Arena/Hall which has a capacity of over 15.000 spectators. It is often used to host national and international sports events of different disciplines , as well as other big events like exhibitions, concerts and festivals. The gala will start at 17 pm local time (see the picture below).

Unfortunatly, Elizaveta Nazarenkova from Uzbekistan won’t be in Euskalgym gala as it was previously announced because of a leg injury.
