Jana Berezko-Marggrander announces retirement

Olympian gymnast Jana Berezko from Germany, has just announced her retirement.

The first time we saw Jana Berezko-Marggrander in top international competitions was in European Championships in Bremen, as junior gymnast. In Bremen, Jana  won three bronze medals in junior category. She also represented Germany and competed at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore where she won the all-around bronze medal.

Two years later, she qualified for Olympic Games in London. Last year, Berezko-Marggrander competed at the Rio Olympic Games held where she finished 18th in the All- Around competition.

Berezko-Marggrander was also 19 times champion of Germany. She wants to continueher sports career as a coach.
“Jana Berezko-Marggrander has been the head gymnast for Rhythmic Gymnastics in Germany for many years. She has successfully represented Germany in many international competitions. We wish her all the best for her new life and hope that she will remain loyal to the Rhythmic Gymnastics in whatever form, “said DTB Sports Director Wolfgang Willam.
