Czech media confirms that Russian National Team won’t participate at the next stage of Grand Prix Series in Brno, Czech Republic due to the spread of Coronavirus. The Israeli team is ready to come if the absence of athletes from Italy is confirmed. The Romanian national team was excluded from participation.

This information was given by a member of Czech Union of Gymnastics and it is not official.

By the moment, both Federations (Russia and Israel) haven’t confirmed this. On the other hand, these Federations haven’t contacted the organization of the following Grand Prix Series. According to the information given by Grand Prix Marbella organization, Russia and Israel are still confirmed by the date.

Coronavirus is causing a big health crisis in whole Europe at the moment. The human coronaviruses mainly infect the upper respiratory and gastrointestinal tract. They often result in upper respiratory tract infections (simple colds) in humans, causing mild illnesses usually of short lasting nature with a rhinitis, cough, sore throat, as well as fever. There are still many unknowns regarding to the virulence and pathogenicity of the virus, the severity of affected patients, its transmission patterns, reservoir and source of infection.
