Grand Prix Moscow 2014: Results

Besides Grand Prix, Moscow hosts at the same time an International Tournament in honour of Olympic Champion, Alina Kabaeva. Senior groups and senior individual gymnasts. Thirty seven countries compete this weekend at Moscow fighting for gold.

“I am very pleased to welcome you to the 20 edition of Moscow Grand Prix. I am very glad that this tournament is celebrated in honour of Alina Kabaeva, who was a lovely gymnast. Alina now is working for our country in the parlament. Remember that all the girls that are could some day, become champions.” – said Irina Viner-Usmanova, head coach of Russian National Team and president of Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation.

Russian star, Margarita Mamun won all-around competition and qualified for all finals.
“This is one of the first competitions of this year, so naturally not all turned out. But in general, I’m satisfied with my performance. I’ve done everything that we have built up to this time” – said Margarita.

Grand Prix in Moscow each year opens the season and shows who is who and what is what – what we managed to do right and what is wrong – said Irina Viner.
